About Me

Strumming on a guitar at the age 14 and singing in local venues by age 16, country music singer/ songwriter , Randy Rutherford , recently wrapped up  4 new singles. His single "Coming to Get Ya" gives listeners a glimpse of his country background and energetic stage performances.

Named after Alabama's lead singer Randy Owen, Randy Rutherford credits his parents for cultivating an enriched upbringing that included various types of music. When choosing a name, Randy's parents decided the name Randy would be perfect since Alabama was and still is his mother's favorite band. Randy's mother still has all the band's cassettes and CD's.

Honing in on country music, Randy attributes much of his success to his grandfather's thoughtful and consistent coaching.  " My granddaddy taught me my first guitar chords greatly influencing my love for country music. Though he's gone now, his memory inspires me to perform the best I can and that means a lot to me."

Randy is undeniably country and vocalizes a smooth countrysound blended with  traditional elements. Randy always steps up to the microphone comfortable and confident. Fans always know what they're going to get - pure country and a lot of heart.
